Birth year and birthday mobile numbers
A birth year number is a UK mobile number with a four-digit year in it, usually as the last four digits — for example a number ending in 1977 or 1990. People choose one for their own year of birth, the year a partner or child was born, the year they married or started a business, or any year that means something to them. It is one of the simplest ways to get a personalised mobile number: you already know the year by heart, so the whole number is easier to remember and to give out.
Finding your year
Every number on this page contains a year, usually in the last four digits. You can come back to this list at any time from Available Numbers → Filter → Year Ending. Our stock covers a wide range of years, from the early 1900s to the 2020s, and changes as numbers sell. If the year you want is not listed, our custom numbers service can look for a number with the digits you choose.
Year numbers: common questions
What is a birth year mobile number?
A UK mobile number that contains a four-digit year, usually as the last four digits, so the number ends in a year such as 1985 or 1999.
Can I get a mobile number with my year of birth?
If a number with your year is in stock, it is listed on this page. Stock changes as numbers sell. If your year is not available, our custom numbers service can look for a number with the digits you want.
How quickly can I start using the number?
We send your PAC code the same day during service hours (9am–9pm UK time, 7 days a week); orders placed after 9pm receive it the following morning. When you submit the PAC to your network before 5pm on a working day, the transfer normally completes by 6pm on the following working day.
Which network can I use it on?
VIP Numbers provides the PAC code. You choose your preferred compatible UK mobile network, activate a SIM with that network, and submit the PAC code to them to transfer your number.
Our standard procedure for providing customers with mobile numbers is by issuing a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC). PACs can be used immediately and enable your mobile network to legally transfer your new mobile number within 24 hours.
