What is a mirror mobile number?

Mirror mobile numbers feature symmetrical or reversed digit patterns that make them distinctive and easy to recognise. The most common form is a six-digit palindrome at the end of the number, as in 376 673, where the second half is the first half reversed; others have longer mirrored sequences or semi-mirror patterns. Mirror is a digit pattern, not a mobile prefix or a network, so the number is charged like any other UK mobile.

Mirror patterns in this collection

Many numbers here end in a six-digit palindrome, for example:

  • 07563 376673 – 376 mirrored as 673.
  • 07895 129921 – 129 mirrored as 921.
  • 07955 654456 – 654 mirrored as 456.

Some numbers mirror across more of the number. In 07518 511581 the last eight digits read the same both ways, in 07399 676993 the last nine do, and 07761 116770 and 07955 055970 read the same across all eleven digits. A few numbers have a looser, semi-mirror layout, such as 07399 763376, where matching pairs sit either side of a double. The selection changes as numbers sell and new numbers are added.

Choosing a mirror number

A few points to consider:

  • How much of the number mirrors – the last six digits, or more of it.
  • Whether the mirror is easy to hear when you say the number aloud in groups.
  • How the number looks written down, on a business card or in a contact list.

Buying and transferring your number

Every number on this page is in stock and can be bought online. After checkout we send you the PAC code; you activate a SIM with the UK network of your choice, give it the PAC code, and the network moves the number across. PAC timings are in the questions below, and our Transfer Guide explains each step.

Mirror mobile numbers: common questions

What is a mirror mobile number?

A UK 07 mobile number with a symmetrical or reversed digit pattern. Many end in a six-digit palindrome such as 376 673; others have longer mirrored sequences or a semi-mirror layout. It works like any other UK mobile number.

Is a mirror number the same as a palindrome number?

Not always. A palindrome reads exactly the same forwards and backwards, and many mirror numbers contain one, such as the six-digit ending 376 673. Mirror numbers also include longer mirrored sequences, as well as semi-mirror patterns, where the digits are arranged symmetrically without reading exactly the same in reverse.

Does the whole number read the same backwards?

Usually not. Many numbers here mirror their last six digits, some mirror eight or nine digits, and a few, such as 07761 116770, read the same across all eleven. Others use a semi-mirror layout.

Are these numbers currently in stock?

Yes. Every number shown on this page is in stock and can be bought online.

How do I transfer my new number?

We send your PAC code the same day during service hours (9am–9pm UK time, 7 days a week); orders placed after 9pm receive it the following morning. You then activate a SIM with the UK network of your choice and give them the PAC code to move the number across.

Our standard procedure for providing customers with mobile numbers is by issuing a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC). PACs can be used immediately and enable your mobile network to legally transfer your new mobile number within 24 hours.
