What are sequential mobile numbers?
A sequential mobile number is a UK mobile number with digits that run in order, one step at a time – counting up, as in 123456, 234567 or 456789, or counting down, as in 654321 or 543210. This collection, also known as our 123456 numbers, brings together numbers that contain a run like this, most often at the end of the number.
Ascending and reverse sequential numbers
Some customers prefer a rising pattern and others a falling one, so both are included. On this page you may find:
- Ascending runs – digits counting up, such as 234567 or 456789.
- Reverse (descending) runs – digits counting down, such as 654321 or 543210.
- Longer runs – six or more digits in sequence, the rarest patterns, listed when available.
- Shorter runs – shorter running-digit patterns such as 1234, 6789 or 98765, often alongside other memorable digits.
Why choose a sequential mobile number?
A run of digits in order is easy to recognise, easy to say and easy to note down, which makes the whole number simpler to share. Many customers also simply like the clean, distinctive look of the pattern – on a business card, an email signature or in a contact list.

Yes. VIP Numbers provides the PAC code: we send it the same day during service hours (9am–9pm UK time, 7 days a week); orders placed after 9pm receive it the following morning. You choose your preferred compatible UK mobile network, activate a SIM with that network and submit the PAC code to them. When you submit the PAC before 5pm on a working day, the transfer normally completes by 6pm on the following working day.
Our standard procedure for providing customers with mobile numbers is by issuing a Porting Authorisation Code (PAC). PACs can be used immediately and enable your mobile network to legally transfer your new mobile number within 24 hours.
