What is an easy mobile number?
An easy mobile number is an ordinary UK mobile number whose digits fall into a pattern you can say, picture and recall without looking it up. It works like any other UK mobile number once it is on your network, and calls to it are charged as calls to a UK mobile, not at premium rates.
What makes a mobile number easy to remember?
People remember phone numbers in short chunks. A number is easier to remember when its chunks repeat or follow a rhythm, for example:
- 07759 990079 – a triple 9 followed by a double 0.
- 07586 655997 – three repeated pairs in a row: 66, 55, 99.
- 07732 727673 – an alternating pair, 7272.
- 07923 923216 – a repeated group, 923 923.
- 07708 808785 – built from just a few different digits.
Numbers like these are quick to read out over the phone and look tidy when written down.
What are Bronze Numbers at VIP Numbers?
Bronze Numbers is the entry-level tier of the five tiers VIP Numbers uses to group part of its range – Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum and Diamond. It is our own merchandising tier, not an official classification by Ofcom, the mobile networks or the wider industry. Each number is placed in Bronze by hand, judged on the number as a whole rather than by a fixed formula or by price alone.
Bronze vs Silver mobile numbers
Silver is the next tier up in our range. Silver numbers generally have stronger or more prominent memorable patterns, such as a clear repeated ending or a longer run of the same digit, while Bronze numbers are usually memorable through repeated pairs, short repeated groups and rhythm within the number. It is a general difference, not a fixed rule. Browse Silver Numbers for the next step up, or Gold Numbers for more structured patterns.
Choosing an easy-to-remember mobile number
Say each number out loud and write it down. Points worth considering:
- How naturally it can be read out in two or three chunks.
- Whether you prefer repeated pairs, a repeated group or a rhythmic pattern.
- Whether it is for personal use or for customers who need to remember it quickly.
